DEJA MOO

AN UDDERLY LEGEND-DAIRY COUNTRY FAIR

Saturday 11th July 2020

WE HAVEN’T PLANNED THE 2020 EVENT YET – BUT THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED IN 2019!  KEEP THE DIARY FREE – ITS LOTS OF FUN!

Grab your cow onesies and mooch on down to Cowaramup for our annual Deja Moo Fair. Following on from last years success and fun, our theme once again is vehicles and our lineup includes vintage machinery and veteran car exhibitions, live demonstrations from our local fire brigade and our main event  …..DA DADA DAH …… The Cowaramup Open-Wheel Professional Amateur Trophy or ….COWPAT. Yes it’s quite a mouthful (basically the organisers just wanted an excuse to name an event after cow poop).

So what is this COWPAT you ask? The COWPAT Trophy Race is a competition event for home-made unpowered miniature wooden race cars, racing in a series of knockout heats along a 10m long sloping track. This is similar to the PINEWOOD Derby concept from the USA.

You can either make your own COWPAT car from scratch or procure a premade model from MuKau Giftware in Cowaramup for a mere $5 (proceeds to our local Cowaramup Bullshed). All you’ll need to do from there is add any scoops or wings, paint or stickers and Bob’s your uncle you’re ready to roll.

If you’re wanting to have a go at building your own car from scratch, there are strict guidelines for it’s dimensions and do’s and dont’s that are outlined in the following instruction sheet. Just click on this link below:

COWPAT Instructions Form

Then all you’ll need to do is rock up to the Deja Moo Fair on Saturday 13th July and make your way to the oval where you’ll see the racetrack.

One event will be the same, rain or shine!  Millers will have some of their baby cows for patting and their own delicious Millers Icecream for sale.

There will be outdoor markets, and pony rides, lazer tag, a jumping castle and bucking bull ride (weather permitting) and plenty of yummy food. Face painting will be in the Duggan Pavilion dining room along with a station to build your own COWPAT car if you haven’t made one already.

All in all it should be a pretty fun day!  So pack up your onesies and head on down to Cowaramup in the July school holidays.
