This year’s DEJA MOO FAIR will be held on Saturday 9th July, the middle weekend of the July school holidays, from 9.00am to 3:00pm.
Never boring and always looking for an excuse to wear our cow onesies, Cow Town has decided to do it’s own take on the Olympics with our very own Cowlympics!
Following on from our success of our Guinness World Record breaking Cow Muster and the Cowtown Cow Conga in previous years, the Cowlympics is sure to be a hit with young and old. Willing participants will be given a passport and will move between a series of events including:
- Cow Jumps Over the Moon obstacle
- Splat The Dung Beetle
- Cattle Race
- Milk Bottle Skittles
- Bull Pull (Tug of War)
- Gumboot Toss
. Cowpat Discus
The aim is to complete as many events as possible and to have your passport stamped at each station to show your participation. There will prizes up for grabs!
This will be combined with our usual highly appreciated market stalls in and around the CowTown Hall. There will be a bouncy castle and a mechanical bull ride for the kids and for the not so little kids. The local bush fire brigade will be there doing demonstrations and there will be plenty of great local food on offer.
The Duggan Pavilion will be hosting a local art competition. The art will be for sale and you can also cast your vote in a people’s choice award. One event will be the same, rain or shine, or at least one person won’t care because they’ll be taunting everyone to see how many times he/she can miss a dunking in the dunking pool! Millers will have some of their baby cows for patting and their own delicious Millers Icecream for sale.
All in all it should be a pretty fun day! So pack up your onesies and head on down to Cowaramup in the July school holidays.
We also have our annual Cow Rally Competition running for the month of July with $1000 major prize up for grabs. Passports containing the questions will be available on this website and at participating businesses at the end of June. Great family fun to get yourself out and about in the Margaret River Region.
